The Type BT BeamClamp is specifically designed with a 10 degree sloping nose. This allows the clamp to be used with S beams and C channels. The BT BeamClamp is available in two tail lengths, 1 & 2. The Type BT has a recessed top to captivate the head of a Grade 5 bolt. This allows the installer to use only a single wrench. The tail length plus the thickness of appropriate packings BF1, BG1, & BH1 should be equivalent to the flange thickness being connected.
